Pictures of Alaska Worth a Million Words

I've always thought myself as a frustrated wedding photographer - I love photography but am not good enough to do it professionally. My daughter and I took a cruise to Alaska last May to celebrate our graduation from college. I must have taken five hundred pictures! From the deck of the ship in the evening I met with other passengers and we took photos of the sunsets, the ocean, and the beautiful snow covered mountains. A gentleman with a fancy camera showed me some tips and tricks for taking photos with my little digital camera, and I have to say they turned out pretty good. In Juneau, we took a tour of the Mendenhall Glaciers and the Tongass National Forest. We took photos from the visitors center at Mendenhall Glaciers and as we rode through the forest. They are beautiful and will always be a wonderful reminder of the trip that my daughter and I shared. My little Canon digital camera did a great job.
