When Streets Are Ugly and Unhygienic

Trash left in the streets has absolutely no positive aspect to it. It looks, well, it just looks trashy. I see the petrol pressure washers clean up the mess left behind from the night before, but can't help think: why should there be a mess to clean up?
It can be very bad for all of the animals which may happen by and be poisoned by this garbage, and no one wants to see dead animals on the road. It also makes a town or city look bad to visitors. No one wants to go on vacation and see garbage strewn about the roads and sidewalks when trash cans are always readily available. This of course brings in less revenue to the towns once they are known as "trashy." It's bad for the environment as well. Throwing food containers such as Styrofoam into the streets can get into water supplies, as can chemicals from cleaning containers, or even some of the things in our foods like preservatives. Once this gets into the groundwater supply it can entirely ruin our water systems, which obviously, we need!
